This is just a quick post to say I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. We certainly did. I'll post later about the massive amount of toys Jack received from Santa Claus as well as from his parents, grandparents, etc. Among all the toys, he did get some clothes, like this Elmer Fudd-style coat and hat as well as the boots that light up when he stomps his feet. Good times. Oh, and in case I don't get a chance to post again before the weekend, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hole In One!
A little over a week ago, our builder finally broke ground for our new house. They did this the day after a fairly big snow, and within the course of the following week the hole had partially filled with ice, as you can see in the picture. It's pretty exciting to see something physical happening after all this time. After all, it's been about three months since we picked our lot. They continue to assure us that we are on track for a move in April or May, so I hope any additional winter weather we get won't slow down the process too much.
In other news, the semester for me is finally over, so hopefully that will mean time for more blog posts and other fun things. I'm taking the coming spring semester off; I have enough on my plate with the new baby and the new house coming back to back in a few short months!

Snow Day
I've been fortunate over the years to work at facilities that seem to close for snow almost as often as the local school systems. Therefore, I'm enjoying a nice unplanned day at home with the family. I desparately needed an extra day at home anyway since the semester ends on Tuesday for me and all our group work is due along with the take-home final. I got to spend a few minutes outside enjoying the snow. Now I need to put my nose to the grindstone.
