MSNBC headline: Man dies after 50 hours of computer games. (Feel free to insert a relevant World of Warcraft or general LAN party joke here.) Anyway, I feel a little better after reading this article about the comparative amount of time I spend playing computer games, and a little worse knowing that a guy younger than me actually dropped dead from said activity!
One of the big stories today is that Peter Jennings' death from lung cancer has inspired a number of people to quit smoking. Perhaps the passing of this obsessive gamer guy will shed some light on the epidemic of computer gaming addiction! :-)

I've pulled some long gaming weekends, but I've always gotten a somewhat normal amount of sleep (6+ hours) in between gaming days and I've usually taken some sort of 'outside' break to stretch my legs and rest my eyes. I'd say that at most I've done 20 hours of gaming in a 48 hour period. I can't imagine playing for 50 hours straight.
